I'm excited to announce my first special event since launching Luna Nidra: Equinox Equilibrium. With equal parts day and night, sun and moon, I thought this would be a good time to balance active practice with rest, sun salutes with moon salutes, movement with stillness. We'll have gentle flow, some balancing pranayama, and then a long, in-depth nidra practice. This yoga nidra will include physical relaxation, breath practice, and then some guided visualizations focused on balancing opposing sensations. (Please note that yoga nidra, while rejuvenating, can sometimes be emotionally intense. If you have questions or concerns, please contact me.)
At the end of practice, I will have Double-Stuff Oreos available, in honor of my 9th grade geography teacher, who always served these cookies to her students at each equinox. I have never forgotten this tradition of hers, and it's something I want to carry on in my own life, because it brought people such joy.
You can sign up for the event via MindBody. I'll post a registration link for the event as soon as it's available. Space is limited to 20 people, so advance registration is recommended. This event is only $10. (Modo Yoga Austin members, check your September email for a special promo code!)
