Connect to Your Creativity e-Course

In both my writing life and my yoga life, I’ve had profound experiences undertaking practice intensives with like-minded companions. While the Connect to Your Creativity bundle was originally designed as a self-paced course, I also wanted people to have the option for a guided practice experience. I’ve created the Connect to Your Creativity eCourse so you can receive more support as you work through your creative journey.

Connect to Your Creativity runs from Sunday, May 26th to Wednesday, July 4th.

This course includes:

  • Five video talks that supplement the eBook and meditation practices

  • Three group sessions using Zoom

    • Opening session: Sunday, May 26th, 12:00 PM CST

    • Middle session: Sunday, June 16th, 12:00 PM CST

    • Closing  session: Wednesday, July 4th, 12:00 PM CST

    • Video playback will be available if you can’t attend live

    • Paid Zoom account not required

  • Two private sessions with me using Zoom

    • Schedule at a time that works for you

  • One restorative asana practice video

  • One flow-based asana practice video

  • One copy of the Connect to Your Creativity eBook and audio bundle

Summer Solstice Celebration

Celebrate the Summer Solstice and the official arrival of summer with this cooling evening practice. Our movement practices will feature slow, meditative versions of sun salutations and other gentle movements designed to help us settle and relax into our bodies. After a cooling pranayama (breath practice), I will guide participants through a summer solstice-themed yoga nidra practice.

Please indicate which props you need on the sign-up form, and I’ll be sure to have enough of everything on hand.

Regardless of your religious or spiritual affiliation, December can be a stressful time. Holiday preparations are just a small part of the seasonal onslaught. As we move into winter, colder weather and reduced sunlight can impact your mood. Schoolteachers are in the throes of end-of-semester grading. If you work in retail or the service industry, you’re slammed. And for those who have recently faced loss, the season can be especially challenging.

Join me on a free 24-day yoga nidra experience that you can do right from your own home. No need to drive somewhere else, or even change clothes. You can practice right where you are. Even if right where you are is in your car, in the parking lot of the grocery store, because you need 10 minutes to yourself before you move on to your next to-do list item.

Equinox Equilibrium: Slow Flow and Yoga Nidra

Celebrate the Autumn Equinox with a gentle slow flow practice, followed by a long yoga nidra. We'll be practicing in the unheated space. To celebrate the balancing of the sun and moon, the flow practice will incorporate both sun and moon salutations, as well as gentle movements to prepare us for a deep nidra experience. The yoga nidra will include physical relaxation, an breath practice, and a series of visualizations. To honor the equal parts of darkness and light at equinox, I'll serve Double-Stuff Oreos after the event.

This event is $10 for the general public, and free for members of Modo Yoga Austin.
